Mohammed V Theater

The Abderrahman Slaoui Museum, named after a businessman and art collector, has been open since 2011. It notably permanently exhibits the collections of the late Abderrahman Slaoui: old posters, the largest collection of orientalist posters in Morocco, dating from the end of the 19th century; a large collection of rare Moroccan gold jewelry from the 18th and 19th centuries; Amazigh women's jewelry in silver, enamel, coral or amber; works by the figurative painter Mohamed Ben Ali R'bati, one of the first modern painters in Morocco; as well as crystal objects and landscape paintings by Jacques Majorelle. Since its founding in 2012, many Moroccan artists have exhibited their works (including Amina Benbouchta, Leila Alaoui and Safaa Erruas) ranging from photography to sculpture and mixed media works.
